Lighting Help

I have an 8x54 T5HO light on my tank and I really really like it, it gives great lighting, the only thing is, i see tanks with T5s and they give off more of a blue color overall and mine gives off pretty much a complete white color, the only way to get the blue color i like is to turn off the white bulbs, is there any combination that will give off the color im looking for, or am i just being to picky?

There are lots of great combinations to produce a bluer hue in your tank. 5 Blue Plus, 2 Purple Plus, and a 6500k would be a nice deep blue look with good color pop.

do coral need a lot of white to grow betteR? and what is a good bulb company to look for?

I like ATI the best. Corals use mostly blue and some red light for photosynthesis, so the ATI Blue Plus bulb will give you great growth. The Purple Plus is a combination between red and blue spectrums and will accelerate growth as well. The 6500k is to add in some green, yellow, and orange light to help bring out the colors a little better.
