particles in water
I'm currently having an issue where it seems I have a lot of particles of something floating in my water column. The tank is in the basement, and some of it could be dust, but it seems like a lot. I have a wide light fixture over the top of it, and there is only a couple of inches front to back where the fixture doesnt cover it. I have 4 Koralia Powerheads running on an RKE controller for flow, and the overflow empties into floss for catching particulates. The powerheads arent pointing into the sand so I know this isnt it. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts or possible resolutions. Thnx!

Use a filter sock or a couple layer thick of poly or pillow stuffing to catch all the loose objects. What's your turn over rate?

the overflow does dump into floss and there are no particulates in my sump where the return pump is. I am using 2 Hydor 1400s and 2 hydor 1040s for flow in the tank. the return pump is a Quiet One. I cant recall the model # at this moment, but it is split into 2 3/4 returns with adjustable nozzles. The overflow I believe is rated at 900 ish GPH.
