Lightbulb New t5 lighting

Hi all, I just got my new ATI 60 inch T5 fixture and and it will be replacing my Corallife 4 x 96w power compact fixture. My tank is a 125gal with a couple softies, a couple of chalice, a monti and alot of LPS. I'm wondering if anbody has any thoughts on light acclimation.
Thanks in advance for the input

Keep the fixture about 12" over the tank and cut your photo period in half at least. That is a TON more light than your PC fixture.

Here is an article I wrote:

Hey mel. Great fixture. I'm in the process of acclimating some frags with my ATI fixture. I'd say which ever works best for you, either reduce photo period and ramp up weekly, or use egg-crates/screens and raise the fixture. I'd say try reducing the photoperiod first and observe the corals reaction.
