Water change

After a water change my mag was at 1200. Should I stop dosing calcium and alk via brs doser until I can lock the mag in at 1300-1350? Cal currently at 400 alk at 9.2 dkh

mag can be increased in 1-2 days, I have read to limit increasing by 100ppm. so even if u were to increase 100 today u will be in fair range. also its wise not to dose cal and alk and mag at same time. dose with an interval of atleast 12 hrs in between.

What's the reason for not at the same time?

I have the doses for cal and alk hooked to my reefkeeper elite. They have been set for about 12 minutes repeating 4 times per day on each....I don't know how I would achieve 12 hours apart unless I dosed a large amount all at once

The goal is to not have them interact significantly before being diluted in tank water. Separating them physically can work, as does time separation. Also, the less you add at once, the smaller the concern.

Yes, you should lock in your mag first, as you raise it both alk and cal should go up. After mag is correct you can adjust your alk and cal levels.
