Beananimal GPH/Overflow questions
I am setting up a 180 gallon tank with a C2C overflow that will be 72" long. I also want to apply the beananimal silent overflow to this system. I have a few questions on trying to figure out the gph that will flow through my sump and into the tank and what size return pumps to get.
http://www.beananimal.com/articles/h...-aquarist.aspx After using that calculator with a 1.5" pipe and a 36" drop from my overflow to the sump it says that the siphon pipe can handle up to 4593.55 GPH. Is this correct? I understand that i can regulate it with my gate valve, but i just want to make sure that my math is correct because I planned on getting 2 Mag 12 pumps for the return which would give me abour 950GPH each back into the DT. |

I would post over in DIY. I have a herbie and it could handle that. I'm guessing the Bean could too since it is a siphon.
