urgent id please before putting in tank coral hitchiker on coral

I'd guess that it is red bubble algae that hasn't fully colored up yet. Remove it.

Is that an opening on the upper left? Is it squishy? Could be red bubble. Could be a tunicate. Could be a sponge.

not bubble algae its an egg sack for sure.. squishy transparent sack with red dots inside about 1mm a piece

Doesn't look like bubble algae to me. 99.99% of all bubble algae is very round or oval. I'd put it in a QT and see what develops. If something good hatchs out, lucky you, if something bad hatchs out, toss it and lucky you, it isn't in your DT.

Is the orangish red color on the surface or is it inside the whitish sack? Both my wife and I agree, it looks like some kind of egg sack. If you don't have a QT, I wouldn't put it in. Even a 1 gallon bucket with a bubbler and regular water changes with water from your DT may very well keep it alive. My curiousity just wouldn't let me toss it. But my concern for the safety of my DT wouldn't let me put it in there either!

this is my problem, i dont have a quaranteen and i really need to get this into the tank soon, im thinking its probably some sort of a snail egg sack but im not sure. the red specks are inside the egg sack..

The best suggestion without a QT is just cut it off and call it a day. But get a QT.

Thanks, though i wasnt actually looking for quarenteen advice, i wanted an id on the egg sack. Ive been doing this for long enough to make my own mistakes.

I cut it off and added the coral.

I would try to remove as much of the red turf algae as you can as well....
