Pump size for 65 gallon
I'm thinking about running a Eheim 1260 on my 65 lps tank. I will be getting a trigger systems crystal 30 x 12 x 15 sump. The overflow drain is one inch. Will this pump work on this system?

That pump will be fine. 640gph minus some head loss to your 1" overflow which i believe are 600gph. Should work fine for you.

Way too much in my opinion. Any other flow in the tank? Power heads, Vortechs, Koralia's?

Eheim 1260 or Mag 7. Both can be run wide open in your setup. A 1262 or Mag 9.5 would probably have to be dialed back a bit by way of ball valve plumbed inline.
