berlin sump or refugium

Was wondering i am wanting a reef tank 90 gallon and bought a berlin sump should i make it into a fuge or strictly use it for a sump???

I have a eshopps sump and I turned mine into a refugium for my 110 gal. I had to rig it up so I can have 3 chambers instead of the stock 2 chamber. Its works great but I wish I had more room for more chaeto.
