Piranha cleaning magnet too strong?

I bought a piranha magnet and am impressed by how strong the magnets are. It tells me how to safely use it but I am still afraid of it breaking my 90 gal tank glass when they come together as well as it placing undue stress as I clean the glass. Anyone have any problems using such strong magnets?

If you put the magnets against the glass but away from each and than slide them together they won't bang on glass. The force while using them will not hurt glass. Just keep them clean as one grain of sand will scratch tank.

Like the above post suggested, slide them together instead of "snapping" them together. This is stated in the instruction manual too.
