Fish Safe corals...?
Ok I know for every invert, there is likely a fish predator out there but are there some corals less likely to be bothered?

I have always looked at it the other way. Get the corals and make sure you choose reef safe fish. There are borderline fish such as the dwarf angels who may nip at some of the fleshier corals, but in general choose fish that are reef safe, and then all your corals will be fish safe.

I so far have had no issues at all with my softies. I guess they just don't taste good. Completely ignored by all fish. The snail, hermit crab and shrimp don't even bother to give a second look.

I'm sure every coral has a fish predator somewhere. Best to look at the fish list and see what the fish you have/want will eat.

I originally got into SW (just 2 months ago) thinking fowlr was the way to go, but then somewhere along the line I saw some colorful corals so now it has changed to softies and a couple LPS. To me the corals are secondary, but I don't want a tank without any coral for the colour. The fish options available are greater when not thinking about corals.
I guess as the fish are primary, I can just add that dwarf angel and see what happens, if he takes a liking to certain corals I can get rid of the corals. Are ricordeas picked on by many fish?

All corals are picked on by some fish.
To be more specific to your direction, Dwarf Angels or almost any Angels can nip/kill Ricordeas. |
