New Purple tang (There might be a Problem)
So I recently bought a purple tang. Just this week on Monday. It has been in my tank for three days. It's been looking good and it looks fine, But it doesn't swims around like my other fish and this is the purple tang out of all 6 purple tangs I've had before, This is the only one that has react like this. it doesn't swims but just settles in one place, it's calm and will let you touch em. Any ideas??

What size tank? Do you QT it? What are the tankmates? What are you feeding it?

Excellent questions from Stacy. However, all my tangs, and I have 4 of them, started out shy and timid for several days. They would pick out a particular spot in the corner or behind a rock and stay there. No food, not even Nori would coax them out. My purple and tennenti tang did it for almost a week. Naso and hippo did it only overnight. Presently they all swim all over the place, and even follow me around the tank and nibble my fingers when I feed! LOL
