How to maximize pod production?
Planning on setting up a new tank 90 or larger what are some ways to make it pod friendly
What are some ways to maximize the number of pods a tank has? Thanks |

In my case, just give it time. I had so many at 1 time I could barely see my fish they were all in the water column! and then it just kind of balanced itself out. or use a fuge they'll love it in there and their safe from the fish

A refugium is an easy way to cultivate pods. Another way is to limit predation.

Feed the copepods... Phytoplankton is what they eat. Diatoms too. I dose sodium silicate to encourage diatoms which gets eaten by pods. I'm pretty sure diatoms also get skimmed out which then acts as nutrient export.

how much effect do protein skimmer have on Pods Refugium are good , how much do return pumps kill off the Pods How about ATS |
