My Nano Edge 6G Build
Hi all!
My name is Ciprian and I am fairly new to the forum and to the hobby. I thought I would make my first post worthy by posting a few pictures of my new Fluval Edge with which I fell in love and which also happens to be my first SW tank. I have been closely following Lavish62's thread on here, and decided to start my own similar thread with my own changes to the project. Below are a few pictures which I have taken since I got my Edge (mid-December) and a few which I have taken since the tank is cycling (beginning of January). My current setup is the original HOB filter and media which were boxed with the aquarium, Vortech MP-10 and the Fluval 25w heater. I am using CaribSea live sand and Fiji Dry Eco Live Rock from BRS. The two halogen MR11 bulbs obviously had to go and have been replaced by two 240 lumen MR16 LEDs from LEDwholesalers. I have also retrofitted two 13w Coralife bulbs next to the LEDs wired up to individual light switches. I apologize in advance for any "crappy-er" pictures since most of them are taken with my iPhone 4S. Welcome to my thread and all comments/suggestions will be appreciated and taken into consideration. Unboxing and setup pictures: Original MR11 bulbs with lights off in the house; crappy light and spread. I decided to add another MR11/16 socket in the middle between the two original ones in case I want to add a blue LED bulb for my night light. After adding the sand, rock and water... Setup on my nightstand. Still a little cloudy. |

I am not decided yet - I am thinking a clown and a firefish. As far as corals go, I am undecided as of now. Suggestions? I am also thinking of adding the clean up crew in there very soon. It seems my levels are stable. |

Any updates? Love the way this started. Kinda funny that you put the water in it while it was on the floor too!
Also, I tagged it so you can join in the Fluval Edge club! |
