Suggestions on Dosing Pumps
Hi All,
I am wanting to switch over from my manual addition of Ca/Alk to a dosing pump. I don't mind doing it by hand, but when I go on vacation I feel bad having my friend have to come over every day to dose/feed. My only concern is that I do not have the physical control over additions and I have seen the horror story of someone emptying a liter of Carbonate into there tank. Hence the reason I am asking for some help on reliable dosing pumps. I do have a reef angel controller, and I know that if I go with single pumps (BRS) that I can hook them up to ports 5/6 and be good to go, but are BRS pumps good? Or would a stand alone be better (spectra pure?) Thanks |

I can't speak for any other pumps, but the Litermeter has severed me well for about 5 years now. It doses my kalk and 2 part solutions.

Watch the vidio at Bulk Reef Supply on their brs dosing pumps. I watched that and was sold.

BRS is great for $90 a piece plus a timer or there is the Bubble Magnus ($300) which is an all in one with built in timers.

+1 on brs dosers. Great prices. Mine work perfectly with my reefkeeper lite.
