6x39w t5 color combo/height/time

I have noticed my sps not fully extending their polyps any longer and have tested and double checked everything in the tank. Nothing has been changed including the lighting. The only other thing it can be would have to be lighting.

I have a 40g breeder with a 6x39w t5 retro system hanging 9" over the water surface. My color combo is:
4 Blue +
1 Aquablue special
1 Fiji Purple
12 3w royal blue cree's for supplement/shimmer

2 Blue+ and the LED's are left on for 11 hours a day.
The daylights and 2 more blue+ are on for 7 hours a day.

Any suggestions? Experience?

I guess what I'm more interested in is if I run 4-5 blue+ and 1 fiji purple, will this sustain all my sps? I know the blue+ puts out good par alone and the fiji purple will provide the red spectrum.

So you want to get rid of the aquablue special is what I'm gathering?

I would, it washes out colors. The par from the Blue Plus is more than sufficient to sustain SPS in your system. I would replace it with a GE 6500k, they have great par and really help bring our the yellows and greens.

Well I'm debating getting rid of it because my tank is only 18" high and it seems like any new additions to the tank are getting blasted by light no matter where I put them.
