t5 tube help
i have an ati power module and its in need of new tubes the trubble is in not sure the best tubes to replace it with
they will have to be ati or giesemann tubes because i can source them at a good price the unit is a 8 x 54w any help would great |

ATI bulbs are better in my testing and experience.
Go with 5 blue plus, 2 purple plus and 1 coral plus. Grab an extra coral plus as well to play with.

I think the aqua blue + is a 12,000k daylight type, not sure tho.Blue plus is a 460nm blue actinic, true actinic is 420nm and is a deep purple color. I think one purple is enough ( not actinic purple ) What kind of color are you looking for ? The blue plus give off a good amount of par actually, so 4 blue+ 3 aqua blue daylights and 1 purple bulb is pretty and gives off enough par for most corals if placed properly.

3 aquablue will wash out colors
I would go with RTparty's reccomendation. I like it a bit bluer, I run 5 blue+ and 1 purple on my 6 bulb The 20k look on an 8 bulb would be 6 blue+ 1 purple and 1 Coral +
