LED's still slightly illuminated when power is off ??
My LED's seem to stay ever so slightly illuminated after the timer goes off which runs the RapidLED lighting controller.
To remedy this I have put the entire powerbar on the timer, so that the drivers have power cut off to them as well. Can anyone think of why I'd have residual power running to these LED's even if the controller is powered off? Also, during the sunrise when everything should be coming on at the same time ... I have certain LED's lighting up first ... and as the intensity increases the rest of the LED's follow suit, why is this? And at the lowest intensity at the beginning of the sunrise sequence, and the end of the sunset sequence, it seems like there isn't constant power. I wouldn't call it a flicker but its almost like they pulse a bit because it just doesn't have the power. The instructions were followed to a T. All drivers set to .85 mA. I just can't figure out why there are these issues with the LED's Thanks |

I'm sure if this helps but I get the same thing with my aquastyle kit that I just finished. Infact even if I unplug the driver the leds stay lit for another 5 mins. I just figured it was left over power in the wires but not sure if that is the case

sometimes you will see residual light from the phosphor coating on the LED which is used to turn a blue light into white light. They may glow for a little bit once the power is turned off.
