enkamat or doodlebug?

I am due to replace my skimmer's impeller mesh and saw that some people claimed the 3m doodlebug pad material is better than enkamat.

I would like to hear recent experiences for both and any sources where people are able to buy either of these materials in the proper grade for skimmer use.

Thanks
