Metal Halides!
I just ordered two XM 10k's for my tank since my last set of reeflux 10k's color shifted badly! My question is, are XM's stable now? I.E. - color, halide envelop, etc..
The reason I ask is I vaguely remember years ago reading about people having problems with them. Thanks for any info/help provided.

I have used the XDE's for many years and never had a single issue with them. I think the Ushio 10k's have a slightly better color but the difference in minimal. FWIW I know more people have complained about the SE than the DE so that may be valid.

Thanks! IIRC, It is either they work great or they dont, no in between. I'm hoping they'll work great for me but I believe anything's better than reeflux bulbs at the moment...

You can always try the Ushio, the price is close and both have been top notch bulbs for a long time. I have never used the Reeflux bulbs, but they have got mixed reviews over the years. I still have one XDE that is about 6 years old or so, it fires right up and looks good. It is a backup bulb that I retired to backup duty after about 16 months of use.
