Natural PAR levels?

Reading about lights and PAR value, I need a reference level. What is the peak PAR at the surface of the ocean at the equator at noon?

Any links with nice graphs of PAR throughout the day or at various depths? If graphs are in different units, can we convert to the same PAR unit which we discuss for artificial lighting?

Per Dana Riddle

"Maximum PAR at noon on a clear day here in Hawaii is ~2,200 molm˛sec."
