Question Reefkeeper Probes - 1 year lifespan?

Okay, I just heard from a reliable source that the probes that come with the Digital Aquatics Reefkeeper Reef Controller are only good for a year before they need to be replaced. I had not heard of this prior and have only had my RK for a month or so so cannot testify.

Has anyone who has owned this controller had issues with their iTemp probe or PH probe after a year? If you have, please give me some details on timelines of the inaccuracies. If you have had your probe for longer than a year and its still kicking gimme some confirmation here.

Thanks ahead of time!

Have had my temp probe for my RKE for over 3 years. It's still dead on. I check it with a ranco and float type thermometers every now and then.

Just clean it every few months.

Thanks for the confirmation - I thought it strange that these would need replacing every 1 or so.

My Digital Aquatics PH probe had to be replaced after only 6 months. Reading was way off and probe could not be re-calibrated. Temp probe is still good after 14 months.
