How to place frags after purchase?

Ok so I promised mysekf that i woul not add anything to my new(used completely established with 2/3 original water)tank until after three months of zero casualties and until I knew what I was doing but I couldn't resist. I bought a Ricordea frag and it is attached to a piece of rock it's probably the size of a dime or nickel and I placed it on the sand. My Lawmower Blenny moves my sand around and I found it buried once. So my question is what to do with frags after purchase. Do you glue them to your existing rock? What about other types of frags? Do yoiu remove them from the plugs or rock?

I just place them on the rocks with some epoxy or a lot of super glue gel, I don't remove them from the existing rocks they are on though.

How much deeper would the ocean be if it didn't have sponges?

With a ricordea I would just place it on your rocks where you want it. With a small rock that its attached to I wouldnt worry about removing it.

It depends for me. I break some off and others I don't bother. Usually depends if it's difficult or if it's an encrusting coral.

i use either super glue GEL or a marine 2 part epoxy like the one marine land makes. there are several different makers though.

i usually leave the frag on what ever it comes on. but that also depends on what kind of coral it is. i also do not glue anything in place until i know that the coral will be happy in that exact spot. you may have to move the coral around until you find that sweet spot. every coral is different and has different needs, so keep that in mind before you just go and glue a frag.

I usually start them off in on spot then eventually decide on a permanet home. super glue and epoxy. They all start at the bottom though for the first few days.
