I'm finishing up my plumbing on my 180 and had a question about the threaded part of a union. Is it recommended to use tape on the threads of a union?

like the actuall threads that hold the union together? if so, then no. the o-ring seals that part.

Yep, the threads that hold it together. I wasn't sure. Thanks DMOPAR74!!!! Doing a leak test tonight so just wanted to be ready for anything that may comeup.

I would suggest a little silicone grease on the threads, not to help seal it, but to provide some lube for when you want to get it apart.
