Deep purple Coralline or cyano
I have changed my lights and have noticed that the Coralline algae growing in my tank has become a darker purple could this be cyano? when I take a tooth brush to the rock or background it doesn't come off at all.
I have read alot of threads were people advise the difference between Coralline and cyano is that cyano will come off the rock easily, |

If it doesn't brush off then it's coraline.

Cyano is slimy and more like a blanket on the rocks. You can waft it off and suck it up easily with a siphon vac.

Cyano is also red/maroon. Sounds like you're good to go!
