Vortech MP 10 ?
The way my tank is setup I would rather put 2 MP 10 instead of MP 40, my problem is I have a standard 100gal tank, and the glass is 2 1/2 mm larger then recommended. Does anyone run them on a tank that the glass is thicker then recommended? Thanks

2 mp10s is not enough for a 100 gallon tank. You will need an mp40.
The pumps wont stick to the tank, and can cause damage to the pumps and void the warranty. |

FWIW, I have an MP-40 on a 75. I was concerned that it would be overkill, but it is definitely not. It's set at about 70% in my SPS/LPS tank, and I supplement it with 2 maxi jet 1200s on alternating timers (plus the return from the sump). Very happy with it so far. Good luck.

with that small of a difference you will not see much effect, I was told by the Vortech techs that if the width is to much the motor can run hotter and you run the risk of them falling off, but I have seen mp10's used with in the range you are talking about. But with that said, I do not think two mp10's will be your best bet. For one mp10's are fairly load when fully cranked, I think they are the loadest of them all when fully cranked I dont know why but that is what I have experienced. I think you will have to have them fully cranked to get decent flow. I think geting 1 mp40 would be better than 2 mp10s for you, or you could look at used and try and find a good deal on some there.
