Calcium reactor recommendations needed
I've recently set up my 265 gal reef tank. I currently have a 10+ year old MRC duel stage reactor, that is shot. I'm really in need of some recommendations.
Thanks in advance for your responses. Skip |

I would probably rebuild the MRC, mine is pushing the 10 year mark.

I would have preferred to rebuild, but it was dropped when we moved several years ago. It's glued, fiberglassed and melted together.
Anyone using the 6.5 Reef Octopus duel chamber reactor ? |

If you are thinking Octo...go for the SRO 5000, it is a beast and designed properly.

The SRO is a skimmer though, I'm trying to decide on a calcium reactor. I have just ordered the SRO 3000 external.

Scroll to the bottom...

No problem, SRO just means super reef octopus and is their best line, meant for more serious reefers. If I ever replace or outgrow my MRC I will probably go with the SRO, they got the design spot on. I don't think I would change a thing on it.

I would do this one...
http://coralvue.com/sro-cr5000/ But the dual one would be a good choice as well. The multi doesn't appeal to me, it tries to do too much. I have never really seen the need in a dual chamber but I do know some people have issues with PH and the second chamber can help with that.
