Broken front case on Koralia Evolution - 750

Was wondering if anybody else had a problem with the Koralia Evolution - 750
front cover breaking. I have 2 of them running on a red sea wavemaker. On the front is a little rubber bumper on the inside near the blades. Both of my powerheads broke at the same spot about a month apart. They seem to work ok, I can see a little wear on each of the rubber pieces. They are only about 9 months old. I guess you get what you pay for...

So far I haven't had any issues with mine. I've got a 1400, a 1050 and two 750s on a JBJ Dual Wavemaker. They've been running since the end of December, so only a few months. They make the occasional click on start-up, but read that is normal.

Did you try contacting Hydor? I've contacted them just for questions and they were very helpful.

Do you think it hurts to run them that way?

I have 3 750's and two of them experienced this same breakage. I contacted Koralia via email and they sent me three new parts.

Just spoke to someone at Hydro. Sending me new covers. I wasnt sure what the bumper were for, told me they keep the impeller from running backwards.

Just a quick up date...I did get new front covers from them but only after having to call them several times. I sent them emails as I was told the first time I called, but never got the replacements. Never even responded to my emails. Best to call...

1 of my 750's did break just as described. I called them and they sent me out a new cover. A few days after getting the cover, the other 750's cover broke. I have an email into them. So, far my 1050 and 1400 are still OK. I wonder if it's just the 750's.

Are the replacement covers a new design? If not, they'll probably just break again from using these on a wavemaker.

I've had four of them break in the manner described due to being used with an on/off wavemaker. It just made them start backwards instead. I kept them like that until I moved on to Vortechs.

Not sure if the new cover are a new design, but they haven't broken. Replaced both 750's and they're going strong.
