rock questionnnnnn
would i be able to use this as live rock in my tank i have a bunch of this rock in my cichlid tank its like crushed coral rock and when i bought it my lfs said it was "live rock" abd it can be used as both but i want some other peoples thoughts.

the one in the middle looks like live rock, the slate i would not use.

i should have said the one in the middle lol and sweet what will i need to do to use the rock cleaning it wise so i can put it in my tank

id give it a good boil, and scrub.
you might get a small spike in ammonia. |

I only see one thumbnail pic of a rock and it looks like tufa rock.

boiling rocks isnt smart because it can make and compounds bound up in the rock airborn via the steam. if there is anything harmful you will be breathing it in.
