Nassarius snails dead?

I purchased 2 nassa snails for my SB. I am going to add as i need. I have a 40 gallon cube. I acclimated the snails as i do with any other animal. I put them on the sand and they burrowed in nicely. I know they like to hang in the sand buts its been a few days now since i have seen thier little tubes sticking out? Are they goners if thier tubes are not petruding out to the surface? Or do tey chill for awhile in the SB unseen?

They are probably fine... i rarely ever see mine. toss some food in and see if they pop up.
