Identifing a coral skeleton?
Is it possible to identify coral skeletons- just out of curiosity?
I have spent a great deal of my life on the beach since my family has a beach house, and lots of that time was collecting shells. I was looking through some shells today (ones we have had for years) and found this one. http://imgur.com/a/GMgce#DV4bJ as you can tell it has a coral skeleton attached to it. the shell was found in Walton county Florida. It would be really awesome to know what it is- but I'm not even sure it's possible to tell! ( I also thought it would be cool to put in a tank- do you guys think it'd be okay?) ps: sorry if this is in the wrong section Last edited by Sun_Queen; 07/03/2012 at 10:52 PM. |
