Cool Magenta lighting in reef tank??

so i want to add magenta lighting to my reef tank. to make cool color effects. My question is simple. will the corals die if use the magenta lighting to much? will the keep on growing under light magenta light(without and whites or blues)? i know this seems like a stupid question ,but i gotta ask thanks

side note- they are Ecoxotic 12.5 Inch Stunner 6W Magenta LED Strip

No prob. I see lots of threads over the years where pico keepers want only the blue spectrum and none of the daylight, like a 24x7 blacklight

It works for a while then corals start to recede, the typical mixed coral systems we stock in these.

Even though the blue is what you see primarily in the deeper reef levels in nature it just hasn't worked long term in the aquarium. Not once has an actinic only setup grew mixed corals long term in a pico reef, even less could be expected of magenta only.

You can supplement daylight with enough of either to almost look like an exclusive coloration and get by I bet.
