GFO turned white, any reason? See pic
Guys,
My GFO turned white after 2 weeks. Is that an indication of something? I dose Kalkwasser at nights and I have been winning the fight against Dino flagellates, my Ph ranges from 8.2 - 8.5 I just received my HC GFO from BRS. I will change the media anyway but it would be good to now if there is any reason why it turned white. Please share your experiences Thanks

Is this the right pic?
The GFO looks rust colored to me.

Yeah that's the pic, as you can see at the bottom that is the regular GFO brown color. Any ideas why it turned kind of white?

It is lighter, likely from the Kalk dosing it tends to coat everything especially if dosed in the sump where the reactors intake is.
