Books by Mr. Saltwater Tank
has anybody read any of his books or guides? He sure makes them sound good but I can't find any reviews. Just curious.

probably so! I am not a beginner and don't really want a how to guide. i am trying to find a good book on reef tanks. I love gaining knowledge about the hobby and I have been in it for 10 years. I have been a member here for 7 years so i have read a lot of stuff and my god what I have learned. But I wanna learn more. Can anybody suggest a good book, like for example of the chemistry of the water that type of thing.

I got them, pretty much info you can find here. It is in an organized fashion, but not a lot of info compared to RC threads. It was helpful in telling what test kits to trust for different tests, but you could also ask that here for free.

For books take a look at "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" by fenner.
All the randy Holmes-Farley articles in the sticky in the chem forum are excellent and am learning a ton from these - I actually printed them out and made my own little book |

Two things in regards to this guy.
1. Don't most people who are interested in the hobby or want to know more search in a forum? 2. I want to know why he doesn't have his "guides" for sale all the time....that's something I find to be a bit fishy... Anyways, glad to hear that the info he puts out isn't anything you can't find here. |
