Algae Id
This stuff is just growing around one of my zoanthalid colonies, not sure what it is.... If it is bad, what do I do to get rid of it? I try to pick it off, but I'm worried about annoying the zoa.

Are you talking about the green stuff? I believe that is Helimeda and it is one of the best Macro algea to have in a tank because it's slow growing and doesn't take over your tank. If your talking about the other stuff I have no idea.

its the other stuff. And Helimeda is pretty cool, i bought 1 tree and I see new plants spawn up every once and a while. I just pull out what I don't want.
The only other algae I could find that looked sort of like what I have was red and far thicker. This is pretty thin. The zoa doesn't seem to mind it being there either (it opens up all the way). Its just closed up because I pushed some water to it so I could get a better picture.
