Fluval 306 ?

Hello,

I am looking to adding a Fluval 306 to my 29 gallon reef tank. Do you think it'll be to much? What type of media should I run in there? Does anyone now how I could modify the outflow head to a dual loc line?

Thanks

Dom

Not too much at all. I would run carbon unless you need to capture/export something else. For the loc line I was thinking you could have a barb fitting hooked to a 1/2 or 3/4 inch pvc fitting into two elbows (to make a U) and then then the loc line fitting with a splitter. It would basically hang on the back.

Forgot to mention, clean the canister often. IME they work great but you have to clean them frequently or they can cause issues (nitrates).
