Good Resource for Identifying "Stuff" in the Tank?
I have a 3-month-old tank and plenty of new "stuff" popping up within it. What's a good resource to help me ID what I find? Not surprisingly, Googling for "white spots in aquarium" is not very helpful.
Here are the 3 things I'm currently trying to figure out (click links for pics). #1 - In the overflow and sump. http://cl.ly/3I0x0J322L0u0j1u3w02 http://cl.ly/0T2y240N0q291H3m1B0a http://cl.ly/270A2Y0W2l0B1d2y440w #2 - White spots (they look hard). On the plastic overflow, back glass, and (to a lesser degree) rocks. http://cl.ly/0J3Y1l2g2w3b1G3W1D2D http://cl.ly/0R1b252u3L191n1n1M2P #3 - Looks like little bubbles covering a 6" x 3ft portion of the back glass. Snails are eating trails through them. Eggs? http://cl.ly/0D3t2I3L303B161K000p http://cl.ly/1p2d0f2A0y1n3u0f423o Thanks! Kyle |

Check out the "sticky" at the beginning of this discussion forum. There are some GREAT pics and descriptions that will help you ID a lot of things.

Searching for "spirorbid worms" I found this which also seems to be a good resource. Hopefully it's OK to post that link here?
