Tank Transfer - Do fish need light?
I bought two huge rubbermaid containers for the tank transfer method against crytocaryon. Just dawned on me I have to use lids. I have tons of cats here. Do I need light. Does it stress fish on this to be in complete blackness for the 12 days.
Thanks in advance for your kind reply. |

Try to figure out a screen or something to keep fish in and cats out while allowing gas exchange. Being closed is not good ESP for 12 days!

fish dont care for lights but gas exchange is a must. a screen or even a well placed/tied down egg crate will keep cats out.

I can think of several ways to handle the cat problem; they are seldom pleasant, but always effective!
I wouldn't leave the fish in pitch dark for almost 2 weeks. why not just cut some cal-proof slits in the container cover and let in some ambient light? he fish should it to feed.
