A hand full of species are bad for a reef tank but they are VERY rare, probably a good guy. Had one over a foot long in my old tank, never caused a problem and kept the tank clean as a whistle. They eat everything, food the fish missed, dead critter, poop...yum, yum, yum! If they were difficult to keep they would have a forum dedicated to how to keep them alive here on RC.
