tank is up and going but messy cuc

My 55L ( 60cm long 30cm high 30cm deep ) tank was put together with 50% live sand and 50% fine sand 6.8kg live rock , T5 60cm long over head light 2 blue tubes and 2 white 10k , a in tank sponge filter with spray bar to get some flow untill i buy a power head ( HYDOR KORALIA NANO 900 coming this week ) and a skimmer next week , buying a External Hang on Protein Skimmer Boyu DG-2516 .

all is well , pods and little worms all over my glass , water tests show perfect water and green growing on my rocks ( after 3 weeks ) . water looked clean , so decided now was the time for my CUC so went to my LFS and got me 2 turbo sails and a red leg hermit crab ( wish i got 4 TS and 2 hermits now but might go back for some more )

the problem i have is the mess they make , bits rock the hermit flings in to the water and poo for the CUC littering the sand bed , what do i need to do to keep this clean ? bigger flitter ? take top layers of sand out and replace with clean when doing water changes ? let it rot away ( but sure that mess with water tests ) ?

just looks little messy in such a small nano tank

thank you

ps, I cant stop watching my CUC , im a cuc perv lol
