Made a few changes tonight after blowing through some LFS store credit.

Cleaned up the sump area. Removed the SCWD and replaced it with a "T" and added a control valve.

Going to run a phos reactor to try and eliminate some of the micro algae problems I have had over the last year. Also added the micron bag which is really making the water crystal clear. Added a heater in the baffle...fits perfect.

Added a ATO and container, I still need to replace this ATO with my old Tunze ATO. Just didn't want to mess with it right now. The sump I used for the holding container worked out nice because it has the first section to store my water change pump.

Added a fuge light...never heard of this brand before. Wave Point. LED light, 1 watt bulbs so nothing to brag about but should work perfect as a fuge light, I wouldn't normally go this route for a fuge light because of cost but what the heck it was store credit.

I'm really liking this light.

I had to dremel out the lip on the sump for the clamps to fit...

Added activated carbon.

Thumbs up

Skimmer is plumbed now.

Ace (hobogato) built me a stand so I could add a 20 long and he drilled the tank for me.

The result...

Not sure what else I can fit in there lol, thanks again for everyone's help.

Really nice set up. One tin6 suggestion I would like to make is to screw the plug strip to the inside wall of the stand.... Looks vulnerable to water in its current location.

Nice, thats almost the exact dimensions of my Deep Blue 80 rimless frag tank. 48x24x16. love the size. I would replace that kent reactor with a TLF (two little fishies) reactor. Ive used, kent, nautilis(i think) and the TLS. I know for sure kent and TLS and a third but cant be certain which one. All have leaked and were a pain to assemble and make water tight except for the TLS.

Thanks for the compliment and the feedback...have you used a DJ strip before? They are kind of difficult to mount due to the brackets. In it's current location it is inside the stand...the doors cover the front panel of it and the power section is actually up and inside of the stand so no possible way to get water on them. In the last 5 years I have mounted over 6 of these in the exact same location...never had any water spillage on them.

Yeah...we have about the same dimensions, I'm just 1 inch taller. I really like this footprint, the depth (front to back) makes you feel like you are working with a much larger system. Thanks for the feedback on the reactor...a little late though, but if it does give me problems then and I have some store credit to burn then I will know which one to try. Honestly they all seemed kind of cheaply made to me. The Kent one that I bought has an 0-ring that seems just a hair too big which I can see would make finding a tight seal difficult.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the comment rcpaul, I'm still trying to get a few things in check.

I haven't exactly got the temp where I want it and have been putting pumps and the skimmer on timers to try and stabilize it a bit more. Also added a fan to the kick on when the lights come on.

looks awesome, just a question.. why the decision to take it off the 220 and make it stand alone?

Tearing the 220g down, starting early to prepare for a move early next year.
