Dart / Seaswirl question
I'm in the early planning stages for my 300 DD I have sitting in the carport. I have a Reeflo Dart pump and two 3/4" Sea swirls. 5 - 6 ft of vertical Head pressure and I plan on keeping the pump output at the 1.5" size up to the tank rim with no 90 deg elbows. Now for the question. Will I have enough pressure or flow to split off any of the output to any additional returns? Or will the pump only be able to support the 2 - 3/4" sea swirls? I also have an Oceans Motions 4 way (I think it is a 3/4 or 1" output. But I have a feeling I would need another pump to feed it. I'm not wanting to run that much "pump". I would rather supplement with internal wave makers like my 2 Korillia Evolution 1400s on a wave maker. Or my assorted older Korillia 4s. I know they aren't Tunze but they are out of my budgets range.

In my experience the Dart would be way too much flow for two 3/4 inch Sea Swirls, I think you could add 2 more outlets and use ball valves to adjust your flow. You need a good size drain and oveflow box to handle a Dart not turned back as they flow a bunch.

Shoot Emster a PM , he knows a lot about SeaSwirls . He has been running them for many years . I think he has 4 of them on the back of his 180 . I have two one inch ones , on my 300 DD . I also have two Tunze 6105s in the same tank . The new SeaSwirls can handle a lot more flow .

I'm really glad to hear I would have extra flow - I guess I will be able to put the OM OR my "ghetto" sprinkler swirlers to work with the same pump - great news.
