Cloudy eye?

Ich????
I have a 120g tank that has been up for 2 months. The tank has two maroon clowns which have been in there for two weeks with no problems, over the weekend I added a blue hippo which gets along great with the clowns. The hippo has been eating fine and no aggression between the fish. I wake up today and the hippo's eye seems to have a film over it? He still eats heavily, any thoughts on this. I'm kinda worried considering I just spent 90 bux on him, I do not have a qt tank.

Temp 78-79
Nitrites 0
Ph 7.9
Sal. 1.027

I'm considering the hyposalinity method, doing so what is the best way to get the salinity down? How much of the saltwater should I replace w ro/di water. (120g tank)

A cloudy eye isn't ich.

Is it one or both eyes affected?

It may be cloudy eye or pop eye depending on that. Cloudy eye will usually go away in a few days. Just keep feeding well.

You may want your thread moved to fish disease forum to get expert opionions there.

Ive seen this a few times and from my experience its usually caused by a dirty aquarium... when was your last water change?

I'm assuming it's not ich.. When the fish was first purchased he had a great color, now he is a bit on the pale side not as dark. He also hides alot more now, but he is still eating.

I had a similar experience a few months ago. Pugcrush is correct.

Ask (via Pm or push your own triangle) a moderator to move your thread to the disease sub-forum or just start a new thread there.

Be prepared to answer water quality questions as that will most likely be the first question they will ask. They were a tremendous help to me in hunting down the cause of an issue that I had completely overlooked.

Cloudy eye is not contagious and will not get to ur clowns but as for ur tang it can kill if left untreated, I've had this on my fish before and I find if u soak ur sea weed and foos in liquid garlic the fish will fight it off faster
