clean up crew

when do i need to put them into an established tank? I'll have dsb of 4 inch. Can my tank do without them since I'll have over 200lbs of live rock for filtration?

clean up crews do more than just biological filtration. They eat the extra food in your tank and keep things tidy. The bacteria and the rock is not going to be able eat copious amounts of food. The CUC will take care of that problem

i am thinking astrial snail, some blue leg hermits would be enough with some cleaning fish like blenny and sailfin tangs.

when can i add the clean up crew? can I add it when the tank is not cycled?

You should really wait until it has cycled... Start phantom feeding it to get it all to start cycling and then when you are ready to add the CUC they will be happy with lots to take care of.

I orig thoguht of NO cleanup crew too.... But I now have 6 Left handed Zebra Hermits, 6 Turbo Snails, 20 x Nassarius Vibex, 2 x Florida Fighting Conch, 2x Brittle Star and 4 peppermint shrimp

The conch and vibex are new to the tank, while the conch are still doing their new tank hiding, the vibex are all over the place and taking care of moving sand. My turbos are not really sand movers.

Here is a quick view of some of them:

Thanks... I just did that real quick because it likes to hide...

I see that I need to make a new steady one... With less glare...

Ill try tonight.

He/She is not going to be happy with me though.... I am moving that one rock up on end (It is like a 15" fiji tower rock) (that end to be exact) and aqua-scaping this weekend... Normally it is not on that end... I spot fed down there and it found it.
