pex piping

is pex piping reef safe to run RO DI water through?

I would think it is, but Im no plumber, its about the same as most flex pipe

Yes pex is safe for potable water...which would also be reef safe....

Thank you! Just thought I'd make sure since copper pipes are for potable water but I wouldn't run water for the reef tank through it.

Thats funny you say that about the copper...good point.... alot of houses are plumbed with copper and i wonder if anyone has ever done any research to see how many ppm gets into the water column from passing through it....

It's the salt that causes the problem when it comes to copper piping it reacts with the metal I believe
