Very rare tapping sound
Every three to four months I hear a tapping sound. It only happens once or twice and then I don't hear it again for several months (actually its probably been six months since I heard it last). I never hear it during the day or when I am working in the tank. Based on what I have read about pistal/mantis shrimp it doesn't sound like it is either of these but I figured I would get some feedback.
Thanks in advance. Randall |

Once in a while my a snail would get near powerheads pointed at wall of tank. The shell would vibrate against tank wall. Could this be source?

Every so often one of my snails will spin it's shell hard enough to create a tapping sound, when next to the glass. I have seen this happen when two snails are competing for the same place in the tank. One snail will crawl up the back of the other, which causes the snail on the bottom to spin it's shell to try and remove the unwanted passenger. |
