I think i lost my lawnmower blenny.

I have had my blenny in my DT since the 15th of this month. I came home today and no sign of him. He is usually perched on a rock or helping me with some algae.
Checked the floor, the sump in the basement and the floor down stairs also with no luck...kind of bummed. I have 90LBS. Of rock but i am pretty sure he is not in my DT.

He was such a cool little guy..

I also have one in my tank and he is a cool little guy. Mine likes to move from rock to rock. If he didn't jump out of the tank or nothing is in there that will eat him Maybe a rock shifted and he got trapped. I had that happen to a Dragon wrasse. I didn't see him for 4 days so I moved the rocks around until he finally came swimming out. Good Luck He will probably show up

Same thing happened to mine. I lost him. After two weeks of searching, I found what seemed to be a skeletal structure resembling somewhat of a fish. CUC did their work...

That was when I had my 220G Oceanic tank. I sure did miss him. Hope you find him.

Yeah I would try to move some rock around bud. He might be in there, but it's really hard to get a good trained one that not only eats algae but also the food you prepare for your other tank mates. Mine eats whatever I put in there but I have also had ones that won't eat anything but algae and those guys normaly don't make it cause algae can grow quick but not normaly fast enough for them. If infact he is gone sorry for the loss those guys are awesome

I recently lost mine too. Only had him for about month, he was eating nearly everything I would feed my other fish. Fat, happy and very personable, he was doing his normal thing one day and gone the next with no indication of issues whatsoever. I guess it happens from time to time.

Just moved all the rocks except for 2 big ones which i dont think he could squeeze under...no luck.
If he did make it to my sump, wouldbt my reeflow dart shred him up and id have pieces of him floating in my DT?

Maybe, maybe not. It depends some on the sump design. I've had 3 fish so far manage to get into my overflow, through the durso and then into my sump. The way my sump is laid out prevents them from being able to reach the return pump.

How did you do that if i might ask?
I would like to find a way so they can not get into my coast to coast overflow...

Sorry for your loss . My sump is also set up with a baffle that has tiny holes in it to stop fish or anything else from getting to the pump. You will have to replace him. I have had mine for a month and he is awesome.

Thanks. Hes def. Getting replaced.
I have a screw on plastic cone screen for the pump inlet but did not want to use it to inhibit flow...guess for now i have no choice..
