Let see how often your shrimp molt

Lets post on how often your shrimp molt and after what if any Circumstance..

My wife called me today to say that something ate my shrimp, a cleaner and a fire shrimp. I got home and realized that the molted. I have had them both about 3 weeks, I got them the same day but they were in the lps display tank for at least 6months. This is the first molt with me and wondering why they oth did it the same day in a matter of 3 hours time span.. I did just sell off a lot of lr yesterday which made me add a lot of water, making them possibly think it was a water change? I did a 20% water change 2 weeks ago and no molt. Your inputs and comments would be appreciated. Thanks

I've had mine molt (at the same time) whenever there is a significant pH change (up or down). I've had them molt individually about once every 4-6 weeks when they were smaller (young), but now that I've had them for over a year, it's been awhile since I've seen a molt.

When I target feed him a lot he molts more. Maybe once every 10-14 days. If I dont target feed him it could be a couple months. Feeding definately plays a part.
