can anyone id this growth on my livverock??

I noticed this growing on my live rock a few days ago. its cylindrical, white, and a little furry. kinda looks like a caccoon of some sort any ideas ?

I've been wrong before, but I think it's a Pinapple sponge...

It's definitely a sponge, I get a variety of those in my tank from time to time.

Its fine. They're harmless.

You got sponges on your liverock and I believe they spawn in aquariums when conditions are right. Sponge = healthy tank.

Pineapple sponges seemed to grow more when my tank was more nutrient rich when I first set it up. I hardly see them any more.
