what sump/skimmer for 75 gallon
i was curious to what sump/filters people would recommend for a 75 gallon. i would like to keep soft + hard corals in the tank.
the sump i was looking at was proflex sump volume 2. the skimmer was a coral life cone. any better options? |

skimmer options...reef octopus sro2000 series. seaside aquatics cs7 or 8...eshopps s-200 cone. reef dynamics ins 135.
sump...IMO nothing beats just using an aquarium for a sump..like a 20 gal. tank. ATO is best served with a tunze osmolator. for flow I would suggest about 150 to 250 gph through the sump. |

probably decent enough . LFS has a couple. I would suggest a berlin sump and don't bother with a refugium but that is a different topic.

IMO I would do like SWCC said get a 20L aquarium buy some cut glass and build your own as you want thats what I did. If you are going to buy an already fabricated sump expect to pay $150-250 for a sump when you can spend less than $50 and make it how ever you want.
Skimmers: (prices range $180-$300) Reef Octopus AquaC EV 120 or 180 SWC
