Extra 40B.. What should I do with it?

I have an extra 40 breeder tank and stand, already drilled with overflow and dual returns. I also have an extra 20 long that could be made into a sump, neither have ever seen water. I have plenty of extra power heads, a skimmer, media reactor etc... I just don't know what I could put in it! I already have a 65 that will be an sps reef once I move, so I wanted to do something along the fowlr line.. I have a dual 175w MH ballast w/ reflectors but I'm thinking of selling/trading for a 36" PC fixture because I won't need strong light for a fowlr..

Maybe a semi-aggressive tank?
A ceph tank?

What are your ideas?

as far as a frag tank goes, that would require high intensity lighting, something i dont want to have to worry about on more than one tank. Im thinking of lighting it with some PCs that i would trade for, or the LED setup i have now.

DSB and a bunch of jawfish... super cool look.

Or a cooler water tank - catalina goby, blue spotted jawfish, etc.

There's only one dwarf species and they come out of Hawaii. I think you could comfortably put 2 or 3 in a 40B. You just need some caves.

Let me know if you're interested. I can pm a link to you of another forum advertising these.

QT tank if you don't already have one.

Heh I seem to sort of accumulate extra tanks. I've got a couple of 40B's and a 100g just sort of sitting around. Not to mention several 10's... :P

Yes I seriously have a problem. Especially around the $1/gal sales.. At least 3 10gals, 3 20gals all different dimensions, the 40B and a 75gal

Only thing is I'm tryin to avoid using high output lighting, especially these MHs because I don't feel like building a canopy for this PFO retrofit kit. I can't find PFO reflectors anywhere either, which is why I was looking for something I could possibly put under a PC fixture

Whats wrong with using a T5 fixture? No canopy needed, grows anything and no heat issues.

I'm trying to trade this 2 x 175 MH outright, and t5 is abut pricey as opposed to PC. I'd rather use that money on livestock. Then again I have some LEDs too ...

MH are more expensive IMO. You can get a used T5 36" for around 150. And the bulbs are cheaper than 2 MH bulbs
